General Information on Crom Hold

As a major hold on Pern, Crom is a cross between a castle keep and a medieval town. The castle keep is where the lord keeps his people protected from the outside threat of Threadfall.

 The crops are on the outside, while the residents live inside the walls. They have everything they need there. 

Crom, A major hold, is like a whole town in that there are many people. Crom Hold needs crafters and people to take care of all that is needed to keep the Hold secure, and maintained. 

Crom Hold has about 2000 people living in the hold itself and 5-10,000 living in the surrounding minor holds and cotholds. Crom is responsible for all of those Minor Holds and Cotholds. 

The minor holds have most of the crafters they need to get by, but some of the cotholds have to rely on the minor holds and Crom Hold for other needs. 

Crom Hold needs at least one of every kind of crafter, probably a whole staff of some like healers, harpers and, in the case of Crom, miners (and folks to refine the ore, etc.) If you would like to reside at Crom Hold, or a minor hold beholden to Crom Hold, please send your firelizard with a message describing your intention!
